On Saturday, we were proud to host our annual Apprenticeship Experience Day for young people interested in pursuing a career in construction with Shingler Group

The event took place at our Boundary Fields development in Whittington, where attendees had the opportunity to get hands-on experience in brickwork and carpentry — the two key trades offered through our apprenticeship programme. Guided by our fantastic team, participants tried out a range of practical tasks and got a real taste of life on site

The enthusiasm and talent on display were fantastic to see, and we hope the experience has inspired many of the school leavers to consider a future in the construction industry.

At Shingler Group, we offer a comprehensive four-year Apprenticeship Programme in Brickwork and Carpentry for school leavers. In their first year, apprentices explore a variety of trades, working alongside our experienced team across brickwork, carpentry, groundworks, and aftercare. In the second year, they begin their formal studies at Shrewsbury Colleges Group, working toward a Level 2 qualification in their chosen trade.

There are further opportunities to progress to a Level 3 qualification and even pursue a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Construction and the Built Environment.

We are passionate about developing young talent and work closely with Shrewsbury Colleges Group to provide the skills, experience, and support needed to help apprentices thrive.
