Shingler Construction have commenced working on their first project with Shropshire Council’s wholly owned house building company Cornovii Developments Limited to deliver a development of 23 energy efficient properties with a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms.
The development began in Spring 2023 and is being built on the former Oakland Primary School site in Bayston Hill which has been closed since 2009. After knocking down the original structure, work is progressing well with Shingler Construction’s Paul Tunnah managing the site.
The development is being built to support the local community, and the properties are designed to an energy-efficient standard with a predicted EPC rating of B. They will include:
To accompany this, the site will also include plenty of public open space with existing trees and shrubs being protected during the build and additional being planted throughout. Installation of hedgehog highways and bat, insect and bird boxes will also be implemented.
This development will be complete in Summer 2024.
